People at the heart of growth:

How Percall Group supports new employees

Interview with Catherine Roche, Human Resources Director at Percall Group

Percall Group has experienced significant growth in recent years.
How do you preserve the human values that are at the heart of Percall Group's DNA while experiencing rapid growth?

It’s a real challenge. As a company grows, it’s important not to lose sight of what makes its culture and identity unique. At Percall Group, we have invested dedicated effort in our onboarding processes to ensure that every new employee receives the same level of support and attention.

We firmly believe that successful onboarding does not begin on an employee’s first day, nor does it end with the signing of a contract.
The first few months are critical. They play a key role in employee engagement, success, and sense of belonging within the company.

How do you support new employees in practice?

It all starts before their first day. We prepare their work environment, set up the necessary access rights, and provide the information they need to quickly find their footing.

We have also implemented a structured onboarding journey so that every employee enjoys a consistent experience, regardless of their role or location. The idea is simple: no one should feel left on their own during their first weeks with the company.

This approach has naturally evolved alongside the Group’s growth. Teams and Managers do not always have the same availability, so it became essential to establish a framework that guarantees a high-quality welcome for everyone.

Beyond managers, who supports onboarding on a day-to-day basis?

Of course, colleagues play an important role. Supporting one another is part of Percall Group’s DNA.

But that’s not all. We have also developed a Mentoring Program.
Because joining a new company is about much more than discovering a new role.

Managers guide employees through their responsibilities and objectives. Mentors provide a different perspective. They help newcomers understand the company culture, identify the right contacts, and answer the everyday questions that people may not always feel comfortable asking their manager.

It is a more informal relationship, one that provides reassurance and helps new employees find their bearings more quickly.

« We want people to build their careers with us, thrive in their roles and grow alongside the Group »

How do you support employees during their probation period?
We know this is a crucial stage.

We have established several follow-up meetings throughout the first few months. The objective is to create meaningful opportunities for discussion between employees, their managers and the HR team.

These meetings allow us to review responsibilities, ensure that onboarding is progressing smoothly and confirm that employees have everything they need to succeed. They also provide an opportunity to gather feedback and identify any potential challenges at an early stage.

We prefer to address possible issues as soon as they arise rather than waiting until the end of the probation period. This encourages open dialogue and makes it easier to adjust when necessary.

Mentors also continue to play an important role throughout this period. Their experience and closeness to newcomers are often invaluable in answering day-to-day questions and helping employees integrate into both their team and the wider organization.

Ultimately, we see onboarding as a long-term support process rather than a simple administrative step.

What does this approach reveal about Percall Group's culture?

Above all, it reflects the importance we place on people.

Behind every recruitment lies an individual joining a team, discovering a new environment and beginning a new stage in their professional journey. We want to give every employee the best possible chance to succeed and quickly feel at home within the organization.

This focus on people benefits not only new employees but the company as a whole. It encourages knowledge sharing, collaboration across teams and stronger collective cohesion.

Our ambition is not simply to attract new talent. We want people to build their careers with us, thrive in their roles and grow alongside the Group. This approach allows us to continue expanding while remaining true to what defines Percall Group’s DNA: a people-centered company that maintains its human scale, even as it grows.
